Palin's Role in Charging Rape Victims for Evidence-Collecting Exams isn't a Big Story in the MSM?

I googled this, and it seems only blogs, not the MSM, have written about it.

If true, this story could be important in turning women away from Palin.

Why isn't this a bigger topic?

1. It's difficult for them without a direct quote from Sarah Palin.

If she were doing interviews, then the traditional press could quote her, and have a balanced report.

There are two pieces of evidence that she knew:
a) she signed the budget (did she really study it before signing?)
b) she had a gag-order against city officials talking to the press without advance permission from her, and so when the police chief talked to the press in support of charging rape victims, he probably either had advance permission or she probably heard that her gag-order had been violated.

It's not quite enough for a traditional press story without a quote.

2. Since when does the MSM rely on direct quotes?
And even if you DO give quotes, they'll report on the interpretations and paraphrasing of the quote from RW pundits.

You can't win.

3. What about the Obama campaign -
why don't they talk about it?
