Obama's New Ad On Trade: Better Late Than Never
Finally, Barack Obama answers the "Which Side Are You On?" question so many of us have been asking, and starts talking about trade and working-class economics...
Though unspectacular in its production, it is a very important thematic step in the right direction. Let's hope unions and progressives use this step to keep Obama in the right place, rather than floating stories like this from the Hill newspaper(Colombia deal has better shot under Obama, say trade lobbyists, union reps) that would seem to undermine the cause.

This ad restates one of Obama's stump lines. It's not bad but could use more of an emotional lure to get undecided working class voters to really think about how bad Rethugican are at the economy. How about a "Howard and Louise" ad about the Rethugican economic policies that led to the current collapse?
One of my big issues with Obama is his support of free trade policies. His economic staff is tilted in favor of Rubin and his Rubinomics philosophy, which supported free trade deals. That is why I think that Obama is slow to use economic populist rhetoric language.
The Hill Newspaper article makes me wonder if one of the things Bill Clinton demanded from Obama in exchange for his public support is for Obama to support the Columbia free trade act. Bill Clinton is a big time supporter of that murdering thug Uribe, President of Columbia.
I guess we'll find out next year.
