Democrats do not have control of the Senate, The Republicans do, with filibusters.

Why don't Democrats say this??? We hear from our Democratic spokesman, "The Republicans have been in charge for 8 years, and in charge of the congress for 5 years."

Instead they need to say that the Republicans are STILL in charge of this mess. They should be bringing up the Republicans whining about filibuster when we were in the minority, threatening the "nuclear" option of abolishing filibusters all together. They should be saying "You know why we can't pass legislation?"
"Because the Republicans and a few of their friends on our side want it that way."

Me, I thank the 24% of Maine Democrats that voted for Olympia Snow in 2006, because they just didn't get the game. It left us with the majority in name only. Just enough to give the GOP their talking point, but no power.

I hope that Mainers get it this time and vote out Susan Collins. We need the numbers...
