I received it from my Uncle. I'm trying to find out if he came up with these questions himself. Has anyone seen this before?
---------------------
Questions that I have. During the Bush administration the republicans were in total control of the Government for about 6 years. They had control of the House, Senate, the Supreme Court, and the presidency. Consider the following; Why didn't they ban abortions? McCain's group believe that the abortion issue is a "States Rights Issue", Ohio was in complete control by the republicans for about ten years, why didn't they correct the abortion issue in favor of right to life? I also think that it is terrible that the catholic church is supporting the republicans (especially at the pulpit) because of right to life, when clearly the republicans had the chance to do something about it, but they didn't do a thing, they surely won't do anything in the future. But, the dems will do something about all the other human rights and they will take care of the poor and suffering. I am clearly in favor of "right to life" but, voting republican will do nothing to change it, they had their chance and didn't do squat. Why didn't McCain introduce a "bill" to ban or modify "Roe vs. Wade"??? Why didn't they make the tax cuts permanent when they were in control? Why didn't they start drilling for oil where-ever there is oil? Why didn't they give "rights to bear arms" all across this country? Why didn't they eliminate restrictions on nuclear power and provide incentives to build new plants so we would now have an increase in new plants almost ready to operate? Why did we muddle in Iraq for about 4 years before we had the "Surge"? It seems to me that if we really had Military leaders and a "commander In Chief" that knew what they were doing, they would have suggested the surge much sooner. How do you greatly increase spending and continue to want to cut taxes, driving the country into a huge deficit? Oh, wait a minute, I think that I have this answer. By "cutting taxes you increase the strength of the businesses and ,give employers the ability to grow and hire more people. Well, how's that working out? Why did we go into Iraq in the first place? Hussein didn't have anything to do with 9-11, he didn't have "weapons of mass destruction". He was responsible for killing a lot of Iraqi people though. But, there are hundreds of thousands of people that are being killed in Africa by rebels and we do nothing about that, so that reason doesn't hold water (oh wait a minute, Africa doesn't have oil). In the Toledo Blade on July 12, 2008 it stated that, Latta, a new congressmen from NW Ohio, was going to Alaska joining a Republican contingent to promote drilling on the North Slope. "He said Republicans have criticized Presidents Bill Clinton's veto of exploring ANWR for oil in 1995. Again, I ask, why didn't the Republicans open up the North Slope when they were in COMPLETE control of the government after Clinton? Hurricane Katrina happened when the republicans were in complete control. We all see how they handled that what a fiasco. The republicans could have fixed the "pork barrel" problem why didn't they???? Why are we bailing out big business (owned by republicans), I thought that the republican approach was to let capitalism take it's course? All this time the CEO's have been taking huge salaries and bonuses and perks.
By the way, all the above questions are rhetorical.
