How will McCain attack Obama on the financial crisis?

How will McCain attack Obama on the financial crisis?
McCain is attempting to portray himself as a pro-regulation populist, which is beyond ludicrous. Meanwhile Obama is bashing him to pieces with an actual plan and McCain's own record. McCain clearly can't stay on defense on this issue. What's he going to do?

The simplest, and weakest, thing is to keep accusing Obama of planning to raise taxes. However, this is already becoming hollow. Could McCain go a step further and say that Obama and the Democrats will institute socialism and he is the only one who can save the free market?

1. he can try that, but
the "free market" has pretty much imploded. Leaving it "free" would be like leaving a two-year-old free to play in the traffic. I expect a lot of people will agree. And it is the republican administration, after all, that has just nationalized the largest insurer in the world. Granted, he was against it before he was for it, but he'll have a hard time spelling out his "solution" when his entire body of knowledge of economics is "huh? wha?"

Like Chris Matthews said to one of the McCain surrogates of that attack yesterday. "You're going to use fear huh?"
