Been saying it ESPECIALLY when Palin was chose. LANDSLIDE. It energized the evangelicals to be sure. But what it really did was to energize the Dem base. Without Palin many (especially young voters) would have stayed home assuming Obama was going to win. Dems will no longer take that chance with Palin on the ticket. Palin was a gift to us.

I doubt it will be big. It will be a cliffhanger, courtesy of Republican electoral
fraud so massive that the only reason they dare try it is because they will do it
on such a huge scale that people will figure "surely they wouldn't be THAT flagrant?"

However, with the increased margins we get in the House and Senate, Obama should have
a chance at some real reform. He has his work cut out for him. The Republicans will cry
"witch hunt!" but there are a LOT of bad guys out there who deserve some serious prison
time. Rove, Gonzalez, Cheney, the Alabama mafia that put Siegelman into solitary for
nine months, some "what--me worry?" financial types, FCC people, the list is pretty
long.

The first order of business is to make sure that this is the LAST election ever to suffer
from electoral fraud and deliberate voter disenfranchisement. The next time a Republican
Congressman says "we'll take care of the counting," I want to hear it acted upon as seriously
as a threat to assassinate the president, because it is a threat to kill our democracy, and
as we saw in 2004, a threat to be taken most seriously.

Then, I want to hear that the new Democratic Attorney General is complaining of a much too
heavy workload, as he has so many corrupt former Bush administration officials to prosecute!
