Election anecdote: Kerry/Edwards bumper stickers
I ordered the house party pack from the Kerry-Edwards campaign shop. I received a lot of bumper stickers (I think they threw in a few extra, to be honest). So, I took the stickers to a local convenience store near my house yesterday morning and placed them by the register. I checked back in about a half-hour later and all were gone. I asked the lady working the register if someone had just grabbed them all, and she said that they had been picked up one or two at a time, and that people had asked her who left them, because they wanted yard signs.

I am crossing my fingers that I will start seeing the stickers on cars. :-)

BTW, there are no Bush stickers around--I have yet to see any Bush stickers on vehicles in my home town. People who do support him must not be very proud of it. :-)

1. When in a posh shopping center parking lot in my town...
Near an even-more-posh gated subdivision, one sees as many Kerry-Edwards stickers as those for Dub; well, then, you KNOW something's up!:D

B-)

6. Amen to that!
even the folks proudly backing the republican govn and senate candidates are too ashamed of Bush to put his name on their SUV.

4. Indeed, it took a month for it to come in. I ordered it immediately...
after the Dem convention. Received the package earlier this week--on Monday, I think.

5. Just back from a trip across Colorado and Utah...
Edited on Wed Sep-01-04 09:24 AM by RobertDevereaux
...where Vicki and I saw precious few bumperstickers of any kind. She did wear her Kerry lapel pin and I my Kerry-Edwards couples pin to the Utah Shakespearean Festival last Saturday. A lady from Sun City said it was great to meet other Dems. We have more Kerry bumperstickers in Fort Collins than just about anywhere we were along I-70.

7. Great leadership on your part...keep it up!
There's a real hunger out there for all things Kerry (or ABB...take your pick).

Leaving stickers at the convenience store is one of those little things that-- added up-- will win it for us.

:toast:

8. Wow! Thanks! How nice of you to say that.
I went out Saturday with my DU shirt and a Kerry button on, passing out some stickers and yard signs I picked up at the Dem headquarters in the college town where I work. Passed them out locally in my small hometown. People went out as soon as I showed up and placed the yard signs by the road as I stood there.

You are right...there is a hunger for Kerry stuff. Wish there were more grassroots distribution on the part of the campaign.
