Please do not refer to McCain "Gramps."
There are many senior voters who themselves are grandparents, who vote in high proportion and may think that they feel more comfortable with someone their age than with a young turk.

We can refer to him by many nicknames but leave the age alone. At least, not directly.

Overall Gramps has a positive connotation for me. When spoken you can pick up the sarcasm, written NO.

Anyway I don't see McCain as a Gramps playing with his grandkids. More like 'grumpy old dumb shit'

5. I wouldn't want to offend anyone. one interesting thing
all of the elderly people I know who are voting for Obama this time around (mostly people who voted for Bush last time around) CONSTANTLY mention the fact that they think McCain is way too old for the job! They seem to have more of a problem with it than the younger people who I talk to.

11. Right. This is so self evident that we don't need to hammer on it
Just as Gibson did not have to push Palin on her answers, they were self evident on her ignorance and being crammed with replies.

8. bullshit
being a grandparent or older, does not equate with being an ignorant dumbass that votes on someone's age. You could also say young people would vote for someone older because they think they'd automatically be more wise and mature - that's BS too.

I'm a grandparent and believe me using that term has NOTHING to do with getting or losing votes.

12. Have You Done Any Volunteering?
many seniors I've talked to know how hard it is for them to get up and going each day. They are concerned about McCain's age. Now with Palin in the mix, the age of McCain is a huge issue. I bet the grand kids of these seniors are voting for the young turk and pushing the grand parents to do the same.

No I will not back off of McCain's age and his bouts with skin cancer.

If I can't have a younger president, I at least want one to pick a vice president with the country in mind, not just winning an election.
