Can we sustain this until election day?
Still a ton of time between now and November 4th. I remember how great we felt shortly after Obama won the nomination, however, McCain went hard at him and brought his poll numbers down. Will that happen again this time? I expect McCain to get desperate in the final hours of the campaign, but will it be enough to stall Obama's poll numbers and push this into a race again?

2. We have more in our arsenal now --
a failed economy which is finally getting the attention from the masses with the blame falling right into the Reps' laps, and a VP running mate who complements Obama perfectly, and makes our ticket stronger and maybe more appealing to fence sitters.

The Palin blush is fading fast, and I'm thinking a lot of people who were initially ecstatic will be going Ewwww and having valid concerns about her being one heartbeat away from the Presidency.

I think we'll be just fine. Better than fine!

3. Will the economy survive until election day?
Another valid question, IMO.

I think that people have had just about their fill of "silly season" politics. The news from Wall Street has a lot of people scared shitless. As a result, both campaigns had better think twice about the negative ads they are running. They stand the risk of frivilous ads being met with considerable anger. If they're going to attack based on fringe nonsense, it had better be some pretty damned compelling fringe nonsense at this point.

4. MSM Will Interpose 101 Distractions - Latest is Townhall Meetings
Yup, that's what will solve the ecnomic crisis. We will hold townhall meetings in between meetings of the 9/11-style commissions whose recommendations McCain did not even vote on.

5. Can we not?
I feel the fierce urgency of now every day.
