Reporter was talking about. He kept answering her about Mexico, the drug cartels and Latin America. He had no idea she was asking about Spain, IMO.

4. With dementia, explaining doesn't help...

I have no doubt he heard the words that the reporter was talking about Europe.

When my grandmother was having one of her bad days I could tell her again and I again I was her granddaughter, but it still didn't get through to her. She was convinced I was a stranger.

Same thing. McCain's dementia problem just showed itself loud and clear.
