What do you think of McCain's recent remarks about not wanting to talk to the Prime Minister of Spain and how can this be consistent with Palin's suggestion that the US should defend any NATO ally that is attacked?

McCain's comments were bizarre. Either he couldn't fathom that Zapatero is from Spain, not Latin America, or he just dissed a major NATO ally (as appears to be the case). This is radical neo-con, Cheney policy -- more of the same. Be mad at an ally because they have a different view (Iraq). That approach has obviously not served us well.

Wierder still, in the same interview, McCain said he would only meet in the WH with countries that are friends -- democratic nations that respect human rights and share our values. By that standard (especially if Spain doesn't make the cut), McCain will have a lot of free time on his hands. But no time for China, Nigeria, Indonesia, Egypt or Russia. Hardly a way to advance our national security interests in the 21st century!

8. Yeah, I replied to that one as well. It has two answers, I think.
The man assumed when Yoly said Zapatero that she was talking about the Zapatistas of Mexico and hence his long explanation of Mexico/Latin America and it shows that he didn't know who Zapatero was. Then when Yoly explained that he was the President of Spain, because he didn't know anything about Zapatero (possibly thinking he might be a fascist or someone like the Saddam Hussein) he didn't make any promises and waffled his way through the rest of the interview.

But basically the buffoon didn't know a thing.

4. ask her a question if you have one - she is a woman not afraid to be asked questions about
foreign policy, and no one is asking her what her favorite color is.
