Subpoena = Under Penalty, right? WTF, man???
If you don't show up when subpoenaed, your ass is in jail. This is just going to die on the vine? Imagine if, say, Bill Clinton, refused to show up for the Federal Case against him brought by those Rethug Bastards.

This is OK with the media?? That the VeeeePeeee candidate is refusing to cooperate with a biparisan request for an investigation into her behavior?

This is just beyond the pale...something's really very wrong here...must be money passed somewhere.

2. Remember Susan MacDougal? And what happened to her for refusing??
How long was that poor woman in prison again?

I just sit here AMAZED that the McCain Campaign and the RNC/GOP are taking all this bullshit in stride (publicly anyway!) because I cannot imagine a VP pick that comes complete with their own scandal requiring a cadre of lawyers and legal wranging. How much are they spending to save her sorry ass???

WTF is wrong with people who are actually supporting them?

3. In theory- yes. That's the way the law works-- but remember who we are dealing with.
The law, as demonstrated by previous reactions to being subpoenaed, doesn't always apply to the Repugs. Something is very wrong indeed- the question is will they be allowed to get away with it. If they are- then you can have no doubt, that our democracy has been hijacked.

4. I think they succeeded in portraying it as a "partisan witchhunt" due to
the one Dem. saying there could be an Oct. surprise or something.

5. It's not just the subpoenas
I'm sure there is an arm-twisting extravaganza going on in Alaska: every Republican member of their legislature, every judge they can find to call on for favors, every past and present official they can intimidate and bully. These lawyers sent to Alaska are party hitmen and they play for keeps.

it makes perfect sense...that's why it is exactly like pissin into the wind. BTW, you need to stop endin any word with ING with the G....it's just IN, for example; refusing is actually spelled refusin. Just ask the veeee peeee candidate.

edited to remove a "g" from Pissin
