OMG! We're losing North Dakota!
LOL. Seriously I wish KOS would spend the money to get more Battleground polls than worry about the UTAH's of the country.

5. The campaign is continuing to target ND so hard to say what the internals are showing
North Dakota is a very cheap state to compete in. There is a certain amount of cultural cross-over with blue Minnesota so I'm glad to stay in states like ND, IN and MT. Getting out the vote and out organizing on the ground can go a long way and I'll continue to have more faith in that than a single less than wonderful poll.

ps It's possible that this particular poll still reflects the Palin bounce from a week or so ago. Trends aren't as instant in ND than NY and CA. I expect it to tighten rather than the other way around.

6. Oh...surprised to hear that Obama is actually putting money into the state.
I'm not sure that I'm happy to hear that. I think it could be put to better use elsewhere but I guess the guru's know what they're doing.

8. He's white, just like them.
The latest "QuickFacts" on North Dakota from the US Census office has North Dakota with a cultural/racial makeup that is about 92% non-Latino white and less than 1% "Black".

So, it's pretty safe to say they've never seen someone like Barack Obama in their lives.

9. Just an update from a poster at KOS
Obama is pulling out of ND for a better shot at WI or MI. Some really cool Dems have been working they're asses off but it just didn't pan out. They're still phone banking and have not given up hope.

I am greatfull for all the hard working Dems in ND and did not mean this as a slight to them. It's just that it's a tough road there.

15. McBush campaign invoked the Culture Wars because wedge issues work on ignorant/hateful people.
McBush calls them his base.
