Sorry have to repost from a comment in thread
Please go to KOS and recommend this poster or at least give her some positive comments for all the hard work she's been doing. I posted a thread earlier...a very snarky thread...about us losing ND. This poster has been working her/his ass off to get ND to go blue. They could use some support. Here's their comment:

I've been canvassing here in north west ND for the last almost 3 months.. and for a while it looked pretty good here, we were up by 3 points.. and then palin came along. And yes these people appear to think she's the 'right stuff'. It is sickening.. they vote their religion and they vote abortion here, meaning they do believe that all dems are pro-abortion.. and they also have bought into Obama raising their taxes. Never mind he supported the farm bill and vets rights and McCain didn't.. there is a total disconnect here that I just do not get.

I've run into people who've told me I have no values (being a democrat).. our Obama staffer had his life threatened for being a 'baby-killer'. It has been so frustrating some days after several hours of canvassing that I've come home and cried at the foolish foolish nature of some of these people.

Today our Obama staffer called and told me that the campaign will be pulling out of ND in the next few days. It broke my heart, I waited months for them to get here- and yet in my town of 12,000 I've been the only steady canvasser.. very little help from the local democrats. So I absolutely understand Obama's decision to spend the money elsewhere- our staffer thinks he's headed to WI or MN as we're looking so good there.

Anyway.. I'll be doing all my volunteering on the phones now- I'll miss walking and knocking- no matter how frustrating it was, it was always worth it when that one person opened their door and said - 'of course I'm voting for Obama'.

Because our individual salvation depends on our collective salvation.. Barack Obama, 5-25-08

5. To Zidzi and Mad
I love you both. What a difference 4 years makes. It's just not the same. In 2004, being a die hard Dean supporter I begrudgingly gave my support to Kerry. I voted for him sure but I could have worked a lot harder. The enthusiasm was just not there.

Here we are in 2008 and I was a die hard Hillary supporter but am now an ENTHUSIASTIC supporter of Obama. I'm doing all I can though I wish I could do more. It's just not the same, we're going to do it this time I feel it.

Great to see you both still here fighting the good fight.

6. Thanks unfrigginreal... I've been
a die hard Mama4Obama since the end of 2007 when I made my first donation and it's been a wild roller coaster ride..It's almost surreal after so many disappointments and you know what I mean.

Good to see Deaniacs still around..we knew we had something in him. I started liking Kerry over the years and really appreciate him now. Glad Hillary is getting out the "Hillary Sent Me" peeps! We need everyone fully engaged for the fight of our lives:patriot: :patriot:

We are going to do it this time and then the next phase begins! Work Work Work.

7. Things could be so different here in my state.
I get email from many who are still fighting the good fight for Obama. There is local enthusiasm but very little working.

Things would be different if the cloud of the primary lies was not still hovering. If the party leaders would tell the truth, that the right thing was done, that Dean and Obama did not steal the primary.....just think of how it would be here. Too many believe it, though.

10. I'll never understand how the "pro-life" crowd disconnects from Bushco's bombing of children
Edited on Sat Sep-20-08 10:54 AM by quiet.american
Not a peep from them on that. No judgment on him of that. Living, breathing, beautiful children bombed to smithereens or heinously wounded. But in their freakish world, it just hasn't happened. It doesn't matter. It's "different."
