He was pretty insistent that it was real. I don't miss much election news, I'm sure I would have seen it if he said something like that on TV. Anyone know what he's talking about? It was pretty annoying.

2. Obama might have said his father was Muslim, but Obama has always been a Christian,
NOT THAT IT SHOULD FUCKING MATTER! Pardon my French. Not directed at you, David. Just to the neanderthals who walk among us.

5. He sliiped the other day becasue he was tired and reffered to his msulim faith
Edited on Sat Sep-20-08 12:12 AM by Boz
It was a total doh! moment that he corrected the context, because he was referring to this exact type of conversation and says they are always talking about how his christian faith is referred to as he is muslim.

But he said it quickly and it got shortened to "they always talk about my muslim faith"

It as a split second mispeak that he finished the sentence by clarifying, but I knew when he said it this was coming.

9. It was not a slip
It was a clumsy phrase on obamas part, but in the context, the slip was the interviewer trying to correct him.

It was one of the quick one offs in the morning show circuit like he and Joe do all the time.

It as a small room ,brownish, I cant remember specific day but I do remember going oh whoops and then he caught it context wise right away.

8. That sums it up.
He made a simple slip of the tongue, immediately corrected himself, now the right-wing whisper campaigns are jumping on it.

Gotta love how the freeptards insist Obama is a Muslim, but in the same breath, rag him for going to Trinity United Church of Christ and listening to Rev. Wright for 20 years.

They can't even keep their own smears consistent.

He basically meant >> my supposed Muslim faith
Obama is not Christian. Just tell your co-worker, the statement has to be seen in context. It's just BS otherwise.

7. Tell him that Obama is the Antichrist and it's prophesied in the Bible that he must return to Earth.
And that not voting for him is to directly thwart the will of God.

If that doesn't work, just point and laugh at him until he skulks away.

16. It's idiotic, they know he is not a Muslim
They just don't know what to say against the guy.

Just say "Obama goes to church, therefore he is a Christian. If he was a Muslim, he would go to a mosque. And yes, I would vote for him if he was a Muslim"

End of the discussion.

Obama misspoke and said, "my Muslim faith". The interviewer corrected him. He just misspoke no big deal.

18. I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW
I know, he said "My Muslim faith" when he answered about the lies the Republicans have told against him when he meant "My alleged Muslim faith". And again, we know they know what he really meant. They are just playing stupid, which is what little kids usually do.

But the issue here is that they are so bigoted that they use the fact that he was shown with a turban, is named Barack Hussein Obama and has a Muslim father to try to exploit other people's bigotry.

The issue is not "Is Obama a Muslim?". The issue is their bigotry.

They did not attack Lieberman's faith. Yet, Islam recognizes Jesus as a prophet, Judaism does not.

Again, I would vote for him even if he worshipped the spaghetti monster.

I have told many people who were coming at me about Obama's alleged Islamicism, to which I always said he was not, and that I would vote for him even if he was a Muslim. And that ALWAYS ended the discussion.

20. He didn't misspeak at all...
It is clear from the context that what he was saying was "While John McCain hasn't spoken of my 'Muslim faith', a lot of McCain's supporters have been spreading that falsehood." (It was in the context of McCain blaming Obama personally for any rumor about the Palin family posted anywhere on the blogosphere.) Unfortunately, Snuffalupagus, in a moment that proved he was only half-listening, interrupted him with "you mean your Christian faith." Obama stopped, gave Snuffalupagus a look like "what are you talking about?" and went back and rephrased the statement from the start.

No gaffe, no slip of the tongue...just a clueless interviewer who felt himself important enough to cut in while his subject was speaking.

It's time to talk more about Palin's Christian minister driving witches out of town.
