On CNN now.. south east states out of gas
Edited on Sun Sep-21-08 09:39 PM by Motown_Johnny
Colonial pipeline that runs from the gulf coast to southern states like Georgia. Tennessee, the Carolinas, Virginia.. etc etc has been running low since Gustav and Ike

Talk about a pocket book issue!!!

Edit.. out of gasoline. I should have been more specific

3. There are a lot of station in the Atlanta metro that are out of gas now.
We had to drive to several before we could find gas. This will be a problem going into the work week.

85% of Nashville gas stations are out of gas.

My in-laws just got back driving from Atalanta to Asheville and they saw many station with no gas and plenty of those that did limited purchases to $20.

that still had it on Friday. I had to drive to Kingston Springs today to find a station, today. Barely made it.

15. Not Natural gas
It's the Colonial Pipeline

Colonial Pipeline, headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, delivers a daily average of 100 million gallons (398 million liters) of gasoline, home heating oil, aviation fuel and other refined petroleum products to communities and businesses throughout the South and Eastern United States. Colonial consists of more than 5,500 miles (8,800 km) of pipeline, originating at Houston, Texas, and terminating at New York harbor. The pipeline travels through the coastal states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, and New Jersey. Branches from the main pipeline also reach Tennessee.

13. There are a lot of us Democrats in GA, too. And no, today
I saw a hummer with a "Nobama" sticker on it. GA will definitely be less red than in '04, but some idiots will always remain idiots. I don't appreciate you celebrating what we're going through on account of it being a red state.

16. I was paying more like 3.68 a gallon today.. why is it cheaper in CA?
I thought it tended to cost more there because of the stronger environmental standards you have there

17. Hey! Watch it! Nashville went for Gore and Kerry, and we're out.
I understand that Knoxville has gas. They went for Bush.

I had to make a dozen phone calls today to find a station that still had some so I could get to work tomorrow.

14. Some of the stations on Fort Campbell are even out.
We have four gas stations on Fort Campbell (that I know of), I don't drive much as everything I need is very close at hand, but I finally needed some gas today and went to fill up at my normal spot and they were out. So, I went to the one a little further away, and they were out too. I'm wondering how long they're going to be out. I was planning on keeping a close eye on the situation, because if we can't get gas on a military post, then something is really wrong.

26. I'm visiting south of Atlanta
And driving down the road I was wondering why so many stations didn't have prices up. It didn't take long to figure out they were out of gas! It's eerie, though the stations with gas don't seem to be gouging too badly (4.099 - 4.299)
