Did organizers feel that they'd only get the public to watch the debates only if they could have a sip every time a candidate says the word "change", take a shot whenever McCain says "my friends", or chug a whole beer when McCain begins the answer to a question about the financial crisis by mentioning that he was a POW, and not have to worry about nursing a hangover at work the next day?

.... I would be interested to know how much say so Barack had in picking the date. If he does poorly, the next day is Saturday .... not a big news day for it to get reported on.

3. Um, you mean if McCain does poorly?
why would you think the better speaker with the facts on his side would pick a date just in case he does poorly?

.... we just need to be cautious of dismissing McCain's debating skills ....... his recent gaffes asides, the man can handle his own. He'll opine about how great this country is and how proud he was to serve blah, blah blah and how Barack voted present 143 times 10 years ago or whatever. McCain's style is short and choppy and short and choppy does better in a debate. .... and our Barack ...... sometimes a little to verbose and prone to tangents.

I adore the man, but debating is not his strong suit. ......... he's gotta have ONE flaw ... it's the only one I've found so far. lol

2. Impossible
A shot for every "My Friends" and I'd be in rehab for 6 months.

4. And a shot every time he gives that weird, disconnected smile.
And to be fair, (or at least in the name of drunkenness) a shot every time Obama says 'hope'.
