Obama Camp Moving Out of North Dakota

Obama campaign staff pulling out of ND

By DALE WETZEL Associated Press Writer

The Associated Press - Monday, September 22, 2008

BISMARCK, N.D.

Barack Obama, who has deployed more than 50 staffers in North Dakota in an attempt to become the first Democratic presidential candidate to carry the state since 1964, is pulling out.

An Obama spokeswoman, Amy Brundage, confirmed Sunday that the campaign's 11 North Dakota offices are being shut and its staffers dispatched to Minnesota and Wisconsin, where recent polls have shown a tight race between Obama and Republican John McCain.

She declined to say how many campaign workers were being shifted, but other Democratic activists put the number at more than 50.

McCain's campaign has no paid staff or offices in North Dakota. Last Thursday, the network of offices was used for a "Women for Obama Statewide Phone Bank Night" for supporters to call undecided women voters.

Obama has also run television advertising in North Dakota, which is unusual for a Democratic presidential candidate.

3. 3 hard to get EVs or secure the 20EVs in MN and WI. Obama is
showing adaptability. He also recently moved some GA staffers into NC. They are being flexible enough to win this!

5. good investment, will pay dividends in later years
we move forward. Hopefully the work they did in ND will push Obama into the high 40's and make it winnable in 2012.

He has a vision, for all democrats, and again we can thank Dean for being the original visionary, and Obama being the one who could really implement it. Democrats are no longer going to cede whole pieces of the United States to the republicans.

We are going to grow our way out of this mess more ways than one.

edit for spelling

8. Smart Move
Start out with a big map than move resources to protect your states and take on places where you hit pay dirt. Kerry's campaign was dumb in only focusing on Florida and Ohio as possibilities. Make a big map early than focus late on where you are having success.

The campaign also now has 50 professional experienced rural organizers that can work in PA, IN, CO, WI, and MI.
