McSame on Rachael Ray Show

I was sitting at the car dealer waiting for my car to be repaired and the Rachael Ray talk show came on. McSame and Cindy were the guests. Rachael asked them about Palin and both McSame and Cindy raved about what wonderful people Sarah and the snow-mobile hubby are, what fabulous, dedicated parents they are. I know it's a fluff talk show but I sure wished they would have been challenged about that -- with the preggers unmarried daughter about to be in a shotgun wedding and the juvenile delinquent son sent off to the military. Sure, the kids should be "off limits," but not when we keep hearing what fabulous parents they are.

Does she plan to?

If not, I'm done with her!

She was obviously very excited to meet the Obamas.

I felt pretty sure she wasn't a shill for the right-wing... but you never know.

1. She looks like a muppet.
2. Her voice and laugh could be weaponized and deployed in Iraq, were it not for the Geneva Convention.
3. She completely lacks any sort of cooking or baking ability.
4. Her primary claim to fame was that she could cook meals in 30 minutes; as it turned out, most of her recipes are not doable in 30 minutes even by professional chefs. Her trick? Have someone else do all the prep work.
5. Her secondary claim to fame was that she could figure out how to feed herself spending $40 per day on food, something of which most every human is capable.
6. Despite not being particularly good at cooking, she has managed to convince people that the only way to be as good of a cook as her is to buy her line of branded cookware. Hell, she even has her own brand of olive oil. Both cost 10% more than other brands of comparable quality, with the only distinction being the hideous day-glo orange trim she finds necessary to slap on her products.

Still, I was happy to see her and Mario beat up on Giada and Flay on the Iron Chef America special thingie.

Not that I think she is a better cook than Giada... probably not. The Batali/Flay comparison is open to discussion.

I just find Flay and Giada to be the most un-likeable of Food Network hosts... whereas Mario and Rachael seem pretty down-to-earth.

Rachael can be pretty grating, yeah.

This was so scripted it was ridiculous. Notice how McGrillin' Master kept using her full name and title "Governor Sarah Palin" nearly every time he talked about her? I found that incredibly annoying.

It was kinda cute how Candy Striper Cindy tied her husband's apron for him. Awww!!
