This would have fit right into the rest of their bullshit a month ago.

All it would take is one massive slip up like this in a world scene and he could cause serious problems! He should NOT be conducting business on behalf of any state, let alone the whole damn country!

He just screwed the pooch on that one.

first of all, it is open. Secondly, states individually regulate "definitions" used in health insurance, so that insurance is not portable for individuals, and so that employers have a greater "right" to your medical records and body fluids than you do.

It would benefit the laboratories for sure as everyone was scrambling to insure people who were zero casualty risk, kind of like pre employment drug screening catches less than 1 percent of professionals tested, yet the labs get paid for 100% of testing delivered, and voluntary prescriptions and medical conditions given are not subject to medical records privacy protections due to the "affiliate company" clause.

Wonder who's making money there?

McCain could do everyone a favor and not drop dead before the election. We need a bumbling idiot and a mendacious veep-nominee to be the flag bearers for everything that is wrong with republicans.
