Road to 270: 9/22/08 - Obama 286, McCain 252

My previous map had Obama winning Ohio. With me finding the RCP map that allows for leaners, I've moved that to Lean McCain with a bunch of polls refuting the Quinnipiac poll that had Obama up. Here is my map for right now, 9/22/08

I'm very confident in New Mexico after seeing several polls with Obama up close to double digits, and the same with Iowa for it to be a solid Obama state for now. With the new VA poll out from SUSA showing Obama expanding his lead, I think he leads there and is closing in in NC.

Without leaners, I see the map looking something like this:Obama up 202 - 163

2. Conventional wisdom

says Alaska goes to McCain/Palin but if Sarah keeps fucking up and McCain's goons keep holding our state government hostage, anything is possible. People are turning away from Sarah in droves, and McCain never was popular up here.
