I don't care if we do go into another depression.

Maybe then the country will never vote for a republican again.

2. K+R yes...i agree, they must demand the votes, especially of mccain
and the top leadership, not only the votes, but they must endorse it before it gets to the floor...or no fucking deal.

this is truly a trap and the repukes are wily enough to pull it off...i hope pelosi/reid/obama are smart enough to smell this.

4. Is there a precedent for House and Senate rules that require 2/3rds to sign on as endorsers
before a bill can reach the floor for votes?

I don't remember ever hearing about such a rule. This idea may be just the thing to ensure Republicans don't leave Democrats holding the bag with Dubya and company, a month before a Presidential election.
