Kerry & Edwards Midnight Rally

Immediately following the end of the Republican National Convention, the Democratic ticket of Sens. Kerry & Edwards hold a late-night campaign rally in Springfield, OH. Both of their wives attend too.

After these four days, it will absolutely purifying. Hope there are lots of jabs about the speeches, like the Humphery/Nixon presidential debate Ahhhnuld coudn't have seen.

That's going to be, like, MINUTES after the de facto end of the RNC. Has any candidate ever started his campaign soon after the end of convention season?

I'm honestly not sure how to feel about this. On the one hand, it's upturning a deep-seated political tradition -- but on the other, it's just a kick-ass move on Kerry's part.

I doubt there will be many big revelations or anything in this rally, since the press deadline will have already passed for almost all the media in the country for the night. But I'll be watching on the Internet (no cable, dammit), and I hope for an excellent taste of things to come in the next nine weeks!

We should like to see complete battle mode...... I'll settle for total....................... "SMACK DOWN"
