I voted today in GA - large turnout!
Edited on Tue Sep-23-08 03:33 PM by CPschem
I was shocked to see long lines at my DeKalb County (Atlanta) voting loction today. Large minority turnout, and just talking to people, seemed to be almost an entirely pro-Obama crowd. Great to see that kind of turnout at around 1:30pm on a September afternoon!

2. Oh, I see why there's no gas in Georgia.....
All these early elections and people who can't make it to the polls. You said a big turnout but would it be more otherwise?

4. I doubt it. The lack of gas would hurt suburban precincts more.

5. true, but
the DeKalb County Registrar's office is not in downtown Atlanta. Pretty much the only way to get there is to drive.

6. My aunt lives outside of Atlanta and she's been working her ass off registering Democrats.
She says by a wide, wide margin, most of the people she registers are African American.

7. This is good too to double-check your "registration" and you haven't
been purged.
