Is it racism? I don't know why Kentucky is even redder than Mississippi.

1. It's Appalachia, where people tend to answer ethnicity questions with "American".
That should tell you all you need to know.

3. I live in Appalachia and no one here says that!
But, I live in a bigger city.

4. I just get angry seeing polls like this
Shows we still have a long way to go in some states.

2. I would say that part of it may be due to race.

5. Why did Kerry lose Montana while Brian Schweitzer won?
It's not always fair to compare a local candidate to an out of state one.

7. Obama is doing better in MT, though
It seemed Kerry just did not play well there.

9. One word..
Guns.....

Kerry has a history of openly embracing gun control supporters, Schweitzer told them to them to go to hell...

If only Obama could tell them to "go to hell" aswell

11. I'm a gun control supporter, so I wouldn't want to be told that
LOL

Obama's playing it right by not using strong language either way. Even though I support more controls, the platform might be better off playing it as a local issue.

8. Lunsford is running as a McCain Democrat.
His latest ad uses quotes from Mclame to dis McConnell. It is a pretty effective
ad. So much so that McConnell has responded with an ad say McLame just loves
him and they agree on pretty much everything.

Partly it is racism; partly it is ignorance; and partly it is because Lunsford
is a DINO.

12. YOU ARE JOKING RIGHT?
Here is the quickest answer 1) Lunsford is white 2) -- and a distant second at that --- Lunsford is from Kentucky. Sheesh dumb question!

13. It's more of a rant than a question
Edited on Tue Sep-23-08 03:52 PM by mvd
More rhetorical, but it's something that can be explored more.
