Wall street can wait a few weeks in fact it can wait until after the election.

2. I'm beginning to agree here.
It doesn't look like this issue is as urgent as we're being told if the Bushies have been planning this for a couple of months. I think they can wait. I'm very skeptical that this bailout will work. You can't put this much of a tax burden on the Middle Class and expect it to recover any time soon.

3. So
is this the trap being set? They're demanding the vote on Friday knowing Obama will be gearing up for the debate and when he doesn't show up they can rake him through the coals?

The hell with that. No vote, no way, no how.

4. I agree. Let's give the market "time to work itself out."
*ehem* This is a politically orchestrated sham IMHO.

5. Friday??? But...
...I heard from market experts that, if the bill hadn't been signed into law in 36 hours (from Monday morning), that it would be too late to save the economy!

:wtf:

8. I agree
No way should there be any vote this week -- or any week before the election. Based on everything I've seen and read it looks like a ploy to trap dems into voting against the people's interest.

And, on a related but slightly disconnected note, I'm so tired of Reid and his bs. Barack introduced bills on these issues over the last couple years and where are they? What, did those mean old repubs threaten a filibuster? So good old go along, get along Harry folds without calling a bluff? 3 years ago we had every repub near a mike screaming obstruction and rolling in bunks. But Harry ... Can't upset anybody.

So how come there's not an impeachment of a cabinet member? After today's performance I'd have excused the lying f--ker Paulson and brought up the articles. And Mukasey would have been last year.

Sorry for the rant but this crap really pi--es me off! I want my country back!

9. I Guess They Will Attack Obama For Missing The Vote, Since He Will Be Busy...
Of course, McCain will get a free pass.
