"Put me in Coach!"
The following is a bit of fluff, consider it a break from the impending economic doom that awaits us.

For the first time that *I* have noticed, the Obama rally played "Center Field" by John Fogerty at the rally today in Dunedin, FL. I know it's cheesy to pay attention to these things but I do. After a month of the McCain gang stealing our slogans and stealing our signs, we WENT there and stole the ONLY decent rally song they had! lol ........ of course the fact they played a song at the RNC convention that contained the line, "roundin’ third, and headed for home, it’s a brown-eyed handsome man," considering that John McCain is neither brown-eyed NOR handsome and his opponent IS just that is puzzeling.

Anyway, is it too much to assume that perhaps the good Senator from IL is doing a stellar job with his debate camp? Is this foreshadowing? I dont know about you guys, but I'm gonna say so.

And now, if you will excuse me, it's sunny and 72 degrees here. I'm gonna take my shoes off, go outside and dance in my backyard. :)

Well, beat the drum and hold the phone - the sun came out today!
We’re born again, there’s new grass on the field.
A-roundin’ third, and headed for home, it’s a brown-eyed handsome man;
Anyone can understand the way I feel.

Chorus:
Oh, put me in, coach - I’m ready to play today;
Put me in, coach - I’m ready to play today;
Look at me, I can be centerfield.

Well, I spent some time in the mudville nine, watchin’ it from the bench;
You know I took some lumps when the mighty casey struck out.
So say hey willie, tell ty cobb and joe dimaggio;
Don’t say "it ain’t so", you know the time is now.

Chorus

Yeah! I got it, I got it!

Got a beat-up glove, a homemade bat, and brand-new pair of shoes;
You know I think it’s time to give this game a ride.
Just to hit the ball and touch ’em all - a moment in the sun;
(pop) it’s gone and you can tell that one goodbye!

Chorus
Chorus
Yeah!

4. not cheesy at all....
I a fond follower of the music that Barack plays at his rallys...
I think music is such a powerful communicator...
gets a message down into your bones and soul

This was a great choice...thanks for the words.
I'm wondering if he's speaking about himself...
or about getting everyone involved.
