Surely Obama is not going to let himself get trapped into a McCain photo-op

where McCain can take credit for calling a meeting and bringing all of the parties together in a bipartisan solution. So I wonder what's going on behind the scenes right now. How is Obama going to get out of this?

1. Congress did the work. The meeting is pointless, but it looks good that

3. Obama should have insisted, to insure the meeting isn't political or viewed as ...
... political, that the meeting occur without any photographers or cameras. I doubt that's the case, though.

6. Even so, they would just report...
"McCain calls White House meeting with Bush and Obama to come to a bipartisan solution on economic crisis."

4. Might be a good idea for the
Presidential looking Obama to be standing beside the vertically challenged bush, mccain and cheney.

8. Obama just needs to act presidential
Don't let McCain take credit and emphasize the bipartisan nature. His calm confident demeanor will sell it, while McCain is looking for political points
