Barack Is Ready

It has been amazing to watch how everything McCain does to derail Obama, winds up backfiring on McCain.

This latest gambit, trying to hijack credit for the bailout, has done nothing but succeed in firmly planting in everybody's mind, the feeling that
Barack is ready!

The fire of the campaign has forged this guy into something very special. He doesn't need to prep for any debates anymore. He's living it. He has no fear of press conferences because he's just trying to tell the truth.

Sooner or later, the public is going to realize that unlike many other politicians, Obama has no "dog in the fight". He doesn't have some gripping interests in oil companies or some other conflict of interest.

He is ready and able to lead. Not in the sense in which it has sadly come to mean, i.e., autocratic rule, but by gathering, managing, and putting order to the best ideas and opinions of the people around him.

The option in this campaign is about as stark as I think it could ever be.
