This is OUR shock doctrine moment. Why can't we seize it?
Why can't the Democratically controlled Congress along with Obama present a plan to fix this crisis which also shoves through unprecedented progressive regulation and oversight of wall street, plus a plan to bail out the middle class? And when Republicans balk and refuse to vote for it, we can blame it all on them. "They created this problem, and yet they refuse to support the solution."

Why do we always let them set the agenda and then we add in a few requests and the "compromise" version is basically what they wanted plus a couple pieces of bullshit window dressing for us?

1. Good idea!
But they should present such a plan directly to the American people, not in some closed-door meeting.

4. Absolutely. Give it a really simple, common sense basis so it's easy to sell to the public.
But also make sure that it will actually help the economy and make some radical changes that will safeguard the economy in the long run.

3. Obama HIMSELF -> all over the "suspended campaign" fraud...but he's not for some reason & dems need
to be seizing the offensive on the entire bailout scam instead of being reactionary and giving repubs/mccain the lead role IMO.

5. Public has to wake up. Historical perspective is needed
in order to overcome this traumatic moment according to Naomi Kline. She uses various important progressive changes when the citizen was not fooled by fascists.... We need to bring out Keating Five, we need to look at how Roosevelt was able to bring in New Deal....at that time, people of this country was brave and stood up for own interest....we can do it but we need to wake up fast...
