The Most Negative Convention In History
They have said nothing, nothing at all, about the future of America or about where they want to lead this country.

This convention has been only about fear and about attacking John Kerry.

Surely, Americans will have a profoundly adverse reaction to all this negativity and pessimism.

""That is the single most negative speech I have ever heard at a political convention," Toobin said of Miller's speech. "An all-out, bombs away attack on John Kerry. Whether people want to hear that, I don't know. But I've never heard anything like it. Few people will be persuaded by that rhetoric, but it will charge up the troops."

4. Remember Pat Buchanan's speech in 92
It sunk them. I remember right after the speech, the talking heads were all praising it as forceful and red meat.

Two months later, revisionist punditry had it pegged as a massive failure and the turning point of the election.

5. I remember that speech, and Al Franken's comment on it...
"It sounded better in the original German"

3. The Dems went out of their way not
to visciously attack chimpco. This is how they are repaid. Repukes have no record to run on so they go straight into the gutter with smear and fear tactics. The repukes don't need a convention. They need a mass exorcism.
