1. how can you not go there on principle, but ask to know what
is going on there. what principle exactly are you basing this on? it is OK for others to go there and pass on the info? i am not attacking, just don't understand the logic.

6. I understand the logic. . . .
It's kind of like not wanting to see all the blood & gore on the highway after an accident. IT's less traumatic and unnerving to hear about it than to actually see it. . . LOL It DOES make sense in a peculiar way.

3. I just checked for you... It is all over the board, complete disarray
A sampling:

Obama wins.

McCain caves in. Fell for their crap, and gave in. Now it all just looks like a stunt after all. Too bad. He should have stayed until they sign it. But, I am sure the dems wouldn’t sign while he was there.

***

I have faith that McCain has a game plan. Think strategy.

Obama’s gonna drown tonight.

***

Crap. I don’t know what to make of this.

Does this mean he’s rolled over and is going to back the Paulson socialist plan to buy up mortgage trash?

9. They may have expected The Gingrich Plan to rule the day.
Link & clip:

If McCain were to come out against the bailout plan, Gingrich said that Republicans would rally to his side and it would become possible for the McCain-Palin ticket to style itself as "taking on the Bush-Obama establishment."

"Either McCain is going to go along" with Obama in supporting the plan, said Gingrich, "in which case the establishment will have the fix in . . . or you are going to see McCain decide, much in the way that he did in picking Palin, that, in fact, he is a genuine maverick, that he genuinely defends the taxpayers, and that this is a terrible bill."

"If the latter happens," Gingrich continued, "I think you will see the emergence overnight of a 'McCain Reform Wing of the Republican Party' and you'll see House and Senate members siding with McCain by overwhelming margins and then you'll be in a very different political environment. You'll have 'Bush-Obama ads' on the one side and 'taking on the Bush-Obama establishment' on the other side, and that will be, frankly, one of the more amazing elections."

12. How in the hell do they pull that off when McCain was shouting he was going to get a plan in place?
Doesn't that indicate failure on McCain's part to achieve the whole reason he "suspended" his campaign?

I get the feeling that the Repub leadership is just throwing whatever they can at the wall and hoping that something sticks.
