Rudy Giuliani and Wife Seen Riding With McCain To Debate, New VP?
Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 03:20 PM by Median Democrat
I saw the picture of Rudy Giuliani riding with McCain and Cindy to the debate. Strangely, Rudy was also going to the debate with his wife, which is odd if Rudy is merely going as another surrogate. Is Rudy's wife needed for some sort of photo-op?

It is kind of weird that Rudy is mugging for cameras and riding with McCain instead of Sarah Palin. Indeed, wouldn't it make sense to keep Sarah close to you to avoid further off-script moments. Thus, is it possible that the McCain campaign is going to replace Sarah Palin with Rudy Giuliani prior to next week's debate?

Afterall, its the kind of crazy stunt that fits John McCain. This may also explain Mike Huckabee's recent put down of McCain, because he was passed over ... again.

7. Yes, Rudy Is Pro-Choice, So McCain Gets To Be A Maverick...Again!
Frankly, I just call McCain unstable, but the media seems to be calling instability being a Maverick. There are people with schizophrenia who could also be classified as Mavericks based on McCain-like impulsive behavior.

won't get a cabinet spot either.

Indeed, you would have 2 on the same ticket!

10. I don't think they can.
Voting has begun in at least one state (Georgia, I voted today!) Wouldn't that screw things up at this point? Isn't it too late?

12. Rudy's wife doesn't let him go anywhere without her
He has a track record, remember.

He's tagging along because, if you recall, tonight's debate is about foreign policy, which of course is synonymous with terrarism which Rudy is the alltime, number one, hall of fame expert on.

Plus, he needs to coach McCain on how to work 9/11 into every sentence.

It would create another mess for McCain and some of the hardcore rightwing evangelicals would be pissed.

15. Still, Perhaps The Obama Campaign Should Issue A Preemptive Press Release...
Edited on Fri Sep-26-08 03:40 PM by Median Democrat
To the effect that:

"We do not believe there is any truth to the rumors that McCain is planning to ditch Palin as his VP choice. McCain has repeatedly said that he selected Palin after a long vetting process, and that he consider her his political soul mate. Any such move, of course, would only contribute to the doubts of Americans regarding whether McCain has the judgment and temperment to be President."

16. If this were a normal campaign, I'd agree with you
But he's running a completely insane show here, careening from one bizarre, attention-making headline to another. At this point, I would not put ANY stunt past McCain. Including an announcement this evening that Sarah needs to spend more time with her family, so the Rude Ghoul will be stepping in for her.

18. Pailure steps out bc of daughter's pregnancy complications and Rudy steps in
just in time for the October homeland security surprise which will lean in favor of McLiar because he's ready to attack Iran (because obviously they would be the cause of any domestic attack) and because Rudy knows how to "handle" a homeland security disaster.

McLiar is circling the drain right now at an ever increasing speed. Total and complete epic failure!
