Actually, I think the reason McCain has drunk the Kool-Aid is that he doesn't want to rule out a run in 2008, and he probably thinks he can't do that without making nice with the Bush boy. He ain't gonna run as a Democrat after all. (Don't forget, McCain is a conservative, despite his "maverick" media persona.)

As for Zell, he's just drunk. There's no excuse for him.
