Anyone expecting a GOP FLOP in the polls after tonight?
I sure am. They haven't said one damn thing about what THEY want to do in the next 4 years. Hell, they barely talked about what they have done in the last 4.

I predict a 3 point FLOP for BushCo, 6 if the jobs numbers due out Friday suck.

2. Could be. But even if they're down 20 points...
I still want Kerry to come out swinging.

5. yeah, but it depends on dumbya's speech tomorrow too
It's his last hurrah. Let him have a temporary bump if he gets one--but I'll be happier if he doesn't!

6. I am still predicting a bump for Bush, hopefully I'm wrong
It wouldn't be the first time I was wrong. :)

Let's hope for a negative bounce, but prepare yourselves for the worst!

8. Probably not...
Though I do think they've given up an opportunity to reposition themselves toward the middle. The plan, such as it is, appears to be to tell Americans to quit being sissies and support the Republican Party. And to politely suggest that John Kerry may, or may not, have been a communist agent and a wimp. Now Bush*s numbers may end up dropping by next week, with the job numbers, and the 60 minutes interview with the guy who pulled strings to get Bush* his cushy job in the National Guard, but I doubt we will see an immediate drop in the polls due to the convention. He just probably won't get the kind of bounce he could have if he had played this better.

9. They'll get a 2 to 3 point bounce...
All this terror, terror, terror, defense stuff will have some repuglicans waving the flag and singing God Bless America... it will fade quiclky as more and more of the SBVT and it's ties to Shrubya Inc. come out...

10. If they took the poll right now, he'd probably be down 5
I predict a ten-point negative bounce from this convention.

The fuckers better fall back on the only thing that will save them in the polls: play Ronald Reagan propaganda films all day today and try to tie Shrub to the Gipper's legacy. So far all we've heard is Kerry, Kerry, Kerry. He is admitting he has no accomplishments, that the war is going all wrong, that he has no plans for the future.

He DOES have plans for the future, but passing out the armbands--red with a black elephant silhouette in a white circle--before November 3 would be pushing it.

12. I'm with you, except 10 may be too much.
How the hell are they going to attract indies with this hateful rhetoric?

Compassionate fascism.

14. The ball's in Kerry's court now. The key is his response
and, of course, the media's response.

15. Yeah, but if it ever gets to be 1971 again
at least this time the country knows the GOP will be up on the issues from back then...

I actually think they'll manufacture some sort of bump by rigging the polls....but at this point, they've pretty much sunk their own slime boat....

What's next, I wonder? Kerry's Cambodian love child?

16. Will Karen Hughes write Dubya's speech for him?
I understand Karen wrote the Bush twins' stirring speech. We saw how well that went over at the convention. Hopefully she will also write Dubya's speech too. That would be the perfect ending to this convention IMO!
