WOWZA look at these new senate numbers - SEVEN STATES going blue
http://www.electoral-vote.com/evp2008/Senate/Maps/Sep27-s.html

PLUS Franken is running tied with Coleman

And we have competitive races in both Mississippi AND Kentucky

If we won all 7 races PLUS these 3 we could tell Lieberman to go fuck himself (well we will anyways) AND have a filibuster proof senate

1. Franken is the one to focus on now.
MS and KY are still long shots, but, we can turn them one at a time. We still have 39 days to get it done.

Worst case scenario, 58 seats!~

2. Goood!
Just have to keep the House and Congress Dem and get Obama in the WH. If it is not filibuster proof, it will a rather stagnant and unproductive term.

Because the repigs would hinder any real progress at every turn.

4. Nah. Not to worry. If that happens, I fully support Obama pulling a Bush and
issuing executive orders and signing statements and doing what we elected him to do.

8. Not if the Senate Democrats use the right message. And do it forcefully.

6. AZ is sending a coalition of volunteers to NM; I'm going to try to go and I'll
be phone banking to there next week.

I think we can make it happen there!

7. The numbers look good for us for now, but a few of those 58 seats are VERY close races right now
I mean we've been trailing in NC all year long, it's only very recently that our candidate has tied or taken a narrow lead in polls there. We've still got our work cut out for us over there.

9. Christ. What if we have 60 seats counting Holy Joe?
Will they have to put up with his shit for two more years?

;-)

10. NC will still be tough
I think.

I'd be very happy if we had at least 55 after Nov 4

11. Lieberman in the Cabinet
My ultimate goal is for Obama to offer Lieberman a Cabinet position and have him resign his Senate seat. The republican governor of CT would name a republican to fill his seat, but would rather have a republican that Lamont can beat in 2010. Then, after 2 Cabinet meetings Obama can fire Lieberman for total incompetance and let him be unemployed.
