What I have noticed-watching
the various political shows on TV. The republican surrogates overtalk the democrats and don't permit them to answer any charges. Then democrats seem more soft spoken and deferential. Why is that? I find it very annoying and end up screaming at the TV. I'm watching MTP right now.

1. Republicans are the Power party and Democrats are the Truth party. Repugs try to steamroller truth.

2. When you lack substance...

... you make up for it in volume. Best I can figure.

I've noticed this too, over the past month or so. The republican talking head is more likely to to talk, loudly, over any response to his comments from either the democratic participant, or even the host of the show. The only thing I can assume from the democrat's passivity in these situations is that somewhere we've decided to let the annoying birds squawk; they don't do their side any favors with rational viewers when they come off as loudmouthed jerks.

4. We Turned Off MTP Because Of That Very Fact......
Brokaw could referee if he wanted to and shut them up and let everyone get an equal chance to state their case. Instead he lets this crap go on - because he is a Repug himself.

5. They've been doing that for years.
Some worse than others, but they all do it. It's sickening.
