...Do you really WANT(?!) a USA President with a ARABIC(?!) NAME!?!???!…For goodness sake!Is Everybody going INSANE!???!… John McCain is the MAN.This manhas a AMERICAN name=JOHN McCain and NOT some ARABIC name!!!… Get it?!…"

Scottus/Scotti is just the Latin word for "Irishman".

They colonized the north of Great Britain from Ireland during the mid to waning days of the Roman empire.

So, speaking as an Irishman, I've never really understood the antagonism.

Gaeilge and Gaelic are nearly identical.

They have caused people (yes, simple minded people) to believe that being Arab is of itself evil, even having an Arab name is evil. We should vote for someone based on what nationality their name is.

Those who seek, or who sought, to learn to read English are, or were, instead indoctrinated with targeted international racism? What about those who attended compulsory education? I'm sure I remember that Webster's unabridged was even used at the local community college's library some years ago.

Who wrote that thesaurus? Simple minded people?

So many problems....

13. Sadly, that term was used that way years ago.
I remember reading an old book in which the main character hired a group of "street arabs" to do some job for him. I don't remember which book.

It's hard to believe how racist English and American society used to be. The language reflected that. Last year I read some National Geographic magazines from the 1930's and I was shocked at the language used to describe people of other cultures. It was disgusting.
