My remaining Republican friends losing their sense of humor...

I facebook with a few guys from high school who are die hard republicans and until recently we had been trading good-natured (mostly) taunts about our candidates. However, since Sarah got owned by freaking Katie Couric, it has been pretty much radio silence. One of them emailed me that if Obama was really screwing up he'd stop twisting the knife and couldn't I please just do the same for him (my reply: Yeah right asshole, it's not my fault mccain picked such a dumbass).

Anyway, FWIW, I think this is a good thing!

Unfortunately, the format will probably play to Palin's advantage, and they'll be right back to their delusional praise by Friday. However, their joy at Palin becoming the attack dog again will be tempered by the polling, which will show that her unfavorables continue to grow.

And then he asks me if I have a sign in my yard (he know's I do because I plunk one or two out front every election), so I ask him if he's getting a McCain sign, and again he does the faux 'woe is me', saying that it would be "dangerous". I told him I saw at least five signs on my twenty minute drive to his house, and besides, that kind of thing rarely happens in the Philadelphia suburbs. It's more in the rural areas and it's usually done to Dem's candidate's signs. But, oh no, there's no way, he's "scared" for his house. Then he mentions ACORN - that one I know he got from RW hate radio. WTF?

more white's than AA's. He works at a refinery. My husband works there also and says there are plenty of Republican's, has butted heads with them for years though he uses humor to turn their silly shit back at them. Rush is often on in the break room (until my husband walks right up and turns it off and no one stops him). I think it's an even mix of Dems and Repubs. Sort of stereotyping, but this is a bunch of blue collar manly men (can't think of a better way to put it) of which my brother is one.

I think I'm going to call him on this victim BS and tell him if he doesn't have any balls to strap on a set. When their arguments are ridiculous (as they often are) humor always seems to work best.

Even when they controlled Congress, WH and Supreme Court, they still portrayed themselves as victims.

Not just our few GOP friends, but also the pundits and the McCain Camp. It's going to be rocky here in the waning days as they watch their empire crumble.

I for one am cheering, but isn't it so frustrating you still can't get a single wingnut you know to admit what a fuck-up Bush has been, and how tragic that is for our country? That's my experience, anyway. Not only won't they admit how wrong they were and are, they actually want four more years of Epic Fail.

sent me an email with a link "exposing" the "Obama Truth Squads", and was like "how can you support a guy that basically wants to bring back the SS". My response was 4 links with no text. The RCP rolling natl polling average, the SNL Palin parody from Saturday, the picture that says "I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome Obama is.", and a pic of McCain's mug with Nope at the bottom. Needless to say, I've tried calling her a couple of times today and she hasn't picked up.
