There are 'Veterans for McCain' and 'Family for McCain' signs ... but no 'McCain/Palin' signs.

At first it seemed to be a coincidence, but this close to the election it is surprising that there are almost no references to Palin here in NC.

1. Well we are not so lucky
in fact, within a couple of days after she was picked, some idiot put up an apparently home-made sign that was McCain's color and pattern but instead of McCain, it said....

"SARAH!!!!"

Exclamation marks in original:puke:

2. North Carolina is definitely trending Blue this time, and Repubs are being very careful...
... we have had swing voters cross over and vote Republican here for years, but there is a limit to that where the intelligence of the candidate is in doubt.

I suspect that there is an intentional effort to minimize the fact that Palin is even running as McCain's VP.

I have yet to hear either of the Repub candidates for Governor and Senate mention Palin.

3. So funny. I posted yesterday how south of Raleigh...
in a more rural area, I saw my first Palin only sign (McCain wasn't mentioned). Couldn't believe it. Otherwise, I have -- unfortunately -- seen a decent number of McCain-Palin stickers/signs.

Obama sign sightings are increasing though!!! :)

4. My solidly Republican suburb in Georgia
has more Democratic/Obama signs than in the 20 years I've lived in this neighborhood. And as I make the slow trek out of the 'burbs to work downtown, I'm surrounded by Obama bumperstickers.
I'm very encouraged.
