That's the standard some are trying to set for Palin for Thursday's debate. We should insist that just proving she's not a total idiot isn't the measure which should be used to judge a nominee. The campaign should say this repeatedly. (crap, there I go giving the campaign advice). Anyway . . .

2. Well of course!
If the Miami Dolphins can win one more game this season I am pretty sure they get an automatic berth to the Super Bowl.

3. Step-by-step instructions on how to win a debate...
Step 1: In the month prior to the debate make numerous gaffes and non-sensical comments. Make people question your mental status and grasp of basic concepts.
Step 2: Pull crazy political stunt to make everyone think you are terrified to debate.
Step 3: Show up to debates without crying and with pants on.
Step 4: String together opinions and commentary only slightly better than detailed in Step 1.

Viola! You have just scored a "debate win"!!

4. What I don't get is THIS:
Anyone can prep for a debate on National Issues. Political Science majors do it before every test. Shouldn't a VP Candidate ALREADY have common knowledge? Not just regurgitate pat answers?

Where's The Beef??????

5. It's pathetic.
There's something very eye-opening about this thing with Palin. She's going to get a gold star if she can just manage not to piss herself onstage - what an unbelievable crock of shit.

6. 1480 KPHX 11am newsbreak set out the extremely fine tightrope Biden has to walk ...
He has to make sure he doesn't get too "overbearing" (read: being tough on a pit bull wearing lipstick), but he also has to make sure he's not to "condescending" (read: treating her like a girl, for christ's sake) ...

So, as soon as he opens his mouth, the French judge gives him a .001 out of 10 ...

7. Gloria Borger on CNN joked that the bar is "on the floor" for Palin
Edited on Mon Sep-29-08 10:10 AM by Jennicut
It really shouldn't be a joke and it is not that funny. Its also unfair. She is inexperienced so she gets a free ride while Obama had to prove all kinds of stuff.
