So what did Pelosi say to "anger" the Republicans?
I've missed it, and couldn't seem to see it reported other than that the Republicans are using Pelosi's remarks as an excuse for them voting against it.

What were Pelosi's partisan comments right before the vote that the Republicans are feigning indignation about? Don't get me wrong, I like the image of the Republicans crying "Wahh, the mean lady from San Francisco hurt our feelings" instead of manning up and offering a viable excuse. I'm just curious.

1. She told the truth, and there's nothing the Republicans hate more than the truth.
It embarrasses them.

2. She told them the TRUTH.
That this was the result of 8 years of Bush failed policies, deregulation, no oversight, etc.

Nancy Pelosi told them the truth, and they didn't like it so they took their rattles and bibs and went home.

4. Aha. Thank you.
I assumed it was something along those lines. I'm certain to run into one of those walking Republican talking points memo guys tonight, so I wanted to be prepared.

Now I can tell him "Well, I'm sorry your fragile ego was crushed by reality" if it comes up.

7. In a nutshell, "Bush sucks"...
A point they then ironically proved by voting against him.

8. A Quick Summary:
1. Don't try to blame Clinton and the Democrats because 9 years ago we had a huge projected surplus.

2. GW and the Republicans have launched us into unheard of debt starting in 2000. This is their fault.

3. Congressional Democrats and Republicans are trying to fix the last 8 years of mess with bipartisan leadership.

That was basically it, in a nutshell.

9. She told them the truth for a change
"When Bush took office he inherited Pres Clinton's surpluses. Four years in a row budget surpluses, on a trajectory of $5.6 trillion in surplus.

And with his reckless economic policies within 2 yrs he had turned that around.

And now 8 yrs later the foundation of that fiscal irresponsibility combined with an anything goes economic policy has taken us to where we are today.

They claim to be free market advocates when it's really an anything goes mentally. No regulation, no supervision, no discipline..."
