Pat's purple heart bandaid.
Arnie's girly men.
Rove's Irish Terrorists.
The Terrible Twins.
Zell's Rant.
Cheney's Sneer.

And still one night to go!

Any other nominations for the top ten "cock gun, shoot foot" events?

On Edit: 2 Christian crosses on the platform (podium and stand)
Shrub saying the war on terra is unwinnable and then backtracking 2 days later.

1. On the surface it would seem that you are correct.
However, don't ever over estimate the intelligence of the voters.

2. It's pretty much a nightmare fest if you ask me. Bush will be the final

foolishness. I can't wait to see him come out with his huge pseudo penis stuffed nice and big to show what a tough guy little junior is! He'll pause and of course say mean hateful things, but there will be NO MENTION of a plan! OH, my guess, he'll reiterate at least 12 times, "This WAR is winnable, make no mistake!" LOL

This has been the biggest FLOP EVER for the RNC!

3. It was calculated to motivate those who hate and fear, not undecideds
so I can't say it didn't have the intended effect. Bush knows the country is divided down the middle--thanks largely to himself--and is simply looking for turnout.

7. I had read somewhere that Rove's strategy was just going to be to
try and rev up the base enough to prevail. I think Rove has miscalculated though if that is his intention. Remember, Rove's strategy lost in 2000 - it did win in 2002 but that was closer to 9-11 and before the Iraq war.

10. But that's why they are stuck in time on 9/12--and don't recognize later
constantly invoking the fear, heartbreak and---this is the important part---the rallying around the president. Not what the president did, but how we united under Bush. That's what they want. Rally-- around Bush. Unite--under Bush. Give the president the benefit of the doubt. And forget what happened after--- how Bush took our trust and our unity and cheney'd us with it, to push a domestic agenda, to push an idiotic war for something or other, to hide everythign they did, and to beat on us as traitors and unpatriotic.

Its a time warp.

11. Exactly, bush good, kerry evil mindset...as if
we the people were that stupid. Everything has to be black and white for those criminals. I think that the only democrat (in gop clothes) that has faultered is that stupid racist zell miller. If the gop's goal was to get more votes, their passion for hate and stupidity did not make it. Now we can say, zell the pig didn't want to be a democrat because we refused to follow his crazy stupidity. And like Linda Trip said, look at me GOP, I'm just like you - vile, evil, racist old white male. That old white male stuff don't cut crap any more zell. You're stuck in your Jim Crow days.

4. Limbaugh is telling his dittoheads Clinton is behind the slimeboat ads...
THAT campaign sure seems like it's not going the way they planned it...

Don't forget Ahnuld's other gaffe: "Dot Nixon vas a pretty goot president, ja?"

How about Pickles: "My husband didn't want to go to war." Hell, he didn't even want to serve in Alabama, safe and sound from the war.

I think Card's "the president sees this country as a 10 year old boy" is liable to get there too.....

15. That's why they're running around this afternoon
going "Kerry's response is weak" instead of banging that "he's a traitor and a coward" drum....they're desperately trying to prop up this disaster somehow.

8. It's going
exactly like we all thought -- a lot of noise and it will dissipate in two weeks.

Neither convention was watchable, and neither mattered.

On to the debates, which will also be watched by nobody, but at least might be entertaining.

13. Don't count on there being any debates. James Baker is in charge
Edited on Thu Sep-02-04 03:30 PM by yellowcanine
of "negotiations" for Bush. That tells me he isn't really serious about having debates becasus Baker is a master of delay and obfuscation. At most, we will have 2 presidential debates and 1 VP debate. At worst, no debates at all. These guys don't want debates and it will be quite easy to cite "terror threats" as a way of avoiding them.

Bush has been on the defensive since then. The wheels have come off.

You'd think it would be mentioned once at the Convention, wouldn't you?

Even other Repubs were against him on the radio this morning.
