Faux news claims that the number of people who showed up in Ohio yesterday to vote was light and not
as high as expected and this will hurt Obama.
Has anyone read how it went? Is Fox News full of shit or did not as many people show as expected?

4. Local news here said it was light also
But folks remember a few things.

1. This is a first in Ohio.
2. It was a weekday.
3. Not many people realize that you can now vote early.
4. People can do it ANY time between now and Nov 4th
5. Probably most are traditionalists and will wait until Nov. 4th

Ohio is anticipating about 300,000 will vote early.

14. I've started getting things like
1. Robo calls from Michelle Obama and Joe Biden to vote now.
2. David Plouffe has been sending emails to us in Ohio to vote.
3. The local news has been starting to cover it telling people to vote.
4. Local talk radio has started talking about it.
5. My wife's teaching union is now emailing and mailing reminders to vote.

5. Fox News is probably full of it
Faux News is probably full of shit. They usually are. They might as well call themselves the GOP's electoral advertisers, but the FEC might have an issue with that if they did.

7. Being an Ohio resident,
I hesitated on voting early until the latest court case, brought by the RNC, was settled. I did not want my ballot separated out for "further verification" at some future date. Now that the case has been settled, I'm free to vote with minimal concern. I wonder if others felt this way. Secondly, to say the turnout was low, I wonder what scientific standard did they apply? What constitutes a slight turnout? On the local news, thousands voted early, so what does one make of that?

8. Very soon Ohio will be out of play and in the Obama camp
Expect Fox to start spreading the lie that these aren't legal
voters.

15. Ummm, by Fox News' logic, wouldn't that also be bad news for McCain?
Do they only let Democrats vote early?

That being said, I'm in Ohio and the Early Vote push just started. Here in Cincinnati, there's an event called "Vote Early, Rock Late!" scheduled in a few weeks, on Fountain Square, starring The Breeders and other local Ohio bands, complete with buses to take voters to the Board of Elections down the block.

And there's beer, too. Tap a keg in Cincinnati, and 100,000 people will show up. It's a fact. :-)

16. Photos of voters in Cincinnati lining up and voting early!
Yep, nobody showed up, huh, Fox News??? And don't forget, folks.. Cincinnati is the most conservative part of Ohio and is exactly where Bush/Rove stole the election in 2004!
