Is it just me...
...or does this stage they've made to push Bush up through his hole have disaster written all over it? I can't imagine Bush posing on this circular stage in the middle of an audience doing anything but provide fodder for late night comediens.

I sense yet another grand, visionary conservative scheme that turns into a collasal embarassment.

1. Did you watch
the "dry run" on CNN? The funniest part for me was when they showed Karen Hughes standing next to Dubya on the platform. She has a mighty worried look on her face. I'm sure she orchestrated this and now is probably having second thoughts about it....she'll probably have a perforated ulcer before this is over.

18. I heard they did away with the stage smoke
At first he was supposed to have a cloud of vapor all around him when he ascended to the stage. Apparently, somebody in our camp found out about it and was spreading it around. I guess they got smart and dropped the idea.

Too bad. It would have been sooooo lame!

27. They're going for an "Elvis" moment with Shrub...
"Ladies and Gentleman, His Highness (and I mean high!) is in the building!" Also, with a sea of faces behind him, it'll have the "look/feel" of one of his cmpaign stops.

There are all sorts of things that can go awry with Shrub's grand entrance -- let's hope that some of them do!! :evilgrin:
