LOL. Pundits don't believe the new poll numbers!!
Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 05:04 PM by sparosnare
They've spent months shoving numbers down our throats, propping up polls numbers like they're the word of God. Telling us over and over how close things are - using polls as evidence the candidates are neck and neck. "It's a horse race!"

Now that there's an obvious shift towards Obama, these same polls are suddenly not reliable. MSNBC self-appointed numbers guru Chuck Todd just doesn't believe that the current polling for Obama in swing states is accurate. He seems to be in shock over what he's seeing.

So which is it Todd? Are the polls reliable or not??

Too funny!

1. Chuckie "T"'s bias is showing.....
Can't he find some outlier that will bolster his narrative?

How are the "hard working Whites" doing? Did they say?

6. Chuck Todd's afternoon conversation
Chuck says: "Tom these numbers look really bad, polls from multiple sources are putting Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota out of reach. Ohio, Nevada, Virginia, North Carolina, Colorado are all leaning Obama if not already safe. How the hell can I spin this pile of shit into a close race?"

Tom says: "Use old polls, you want a job don't you?"

9. They stand to lose millions in ad revenue if it's not close to the wire.
If Obama keeps rising the next media meme will be "Is Obama peaking too soon?"

Bank on it.

12. Oh, they're just itching to roll that one out
As soon as McCain shows any kind of a gain, it'll be nothing but "Obama's peaked too soon!" 24-7.

11. Polls only matter when they show a close race, and when they don't, they

should be discounted, because then they don't fit the narrative. Because there must be a close race. It must be down to the wire. The American people must be divided, torn, over this decision.

13. He Is One of the Few
That has not moved some of the northern industrial swing states like Pa, Mi and Wi to Obama. I am always surprised how red his map is and how close things are compared to some of the online tracking sites like Real Clear Politics or fivethirtyeight.com

Yet he stuck with Florida and NC LONG after they started trending Obama as red before he moved them to toss up.

I have never understand how they go RED with a 2 pt lead for McCain but stay toss up when Obama is up 5 or 6.

Other polls had Obama up 8-13.
