Why do I say that?
Well, it's a hallmark of the Obama campaign. Obama has been brilliant for not only having an answer for every question, but in delivering an answer that was in large part unexpected. How often have I watched Obama interviewed, sat there anticipating what Obama "should" say only to have Obama take the response a completely different way.
When you think about it, he did the same thing with his pick of Biden. For all the speculation about Hillary or Webb or Kaine being good options, the selection of Biden was sort of a surprise, but a surprise that in retrospect seemed quite natural.
Then, think about Biden's speech when he accepted the nomination in Illinois. Think of his speech at the convention, when he had to follow the successes of Bill and Hillary. No one thought Biden could hold his own after those speeches, but he took the convention to a different place than was expected and made the success his own.
The naysayers all warned that Biden lacked passion, that he rambled, that he said stupid things, etc, etc, yet he has done a GREAT job since Obama picked him. Unlike Palin - who soared in the polls and is now crashing - Biden has been busy filling the TRADITIONAL role of a VP pick, ie: to do no harm to the POTUS candidate. On that score, he's already defeated Palin.
McPalin is busy preparing for the CARICATURE of Biden that lives in the RNC playbook. Unfortunately for her, the REAL Biden is planning on attending the debate, and he will move the debate quickly to where he is comfortable, and to where his experience and expertise will bury Palin. She won't even know what hit her as her snot-nosed zingers fail to connect with voters who want real answers, not snide gossip points.
It will be equivalent of Palin telling dead baby jokes at a stillborn's funeral.
You heard it here first.
