A Brief Summary of GOP's Last Two Nights.
Tuesday Night: Purpleheartnacht. The Night the Republicans cruelly made fun of wounded war veterans by mocking their wounds with faux bandages.

Wednesday Night: Family Values Night demonstrated by Example as Dick and Lynne Cheney publicly disown their lesbian daughter in front of audience televised to millions in order to further their own ambitions.

1. How do you think it played in Peoria?
I'm wondering if the Purple Heart smear had any effect one way or another. It showed those slimeballs for what they are, but I haven't seen where it had any resonance. I still think the Democrats didn't make enough of an issue on this.

I thought Ahhhnold's speech was awful, but I wonder how it played to undecideds?

Night two was the "Night of the Living Dead". But again, I just don't know how it played to undecided voters. Zell and Cheney were simply terrible (and that is discounting there totally dishonest content).

The polls next week will be very interesting.

2. Don't Think It's Playing Well At All.
I believe that the polls will reflect this.

Someone here at the DU (I wish I knew who so as to give credit) said Bush was going to have a "negative bounce". That would be something.

On the other hand, the media has barely, if at all, touched the purpleheart scandalous behaviour or the missing Cheney daughter.
