Dave's hitting McCain again!
Edited on Wed Oct-01-08 10:59 PM by JackBeck
Comparing today's video of McCain's confusion leaving the stage to when George got lost on stage after speaking in Beijing.

"Here's some advice. Always leave the stage from where you came in."

McCain:

18. He picked Katie instead. How's that working out, John?
Think about this. The guy screwed over Letterman. That is just stupid. You don't mess with Oprah and you don't mess with Letterman. They are so much bigger than any of the network news people it isn't even funny.

And he screwed Dave over in order to interview with Couric. But the Couric thing has turned into a whole series of disastrous interviews for McCain and Palin. In fact, it looks like McCain jilted Dave in order to interview with Couric in order to try to repair the disastrous interview Palin gave Couric earlier the same day. But each of these interviews has just made matters worse. How many have they done now with Couric? 4 or 5 at least in the past week, each one worse than the last.

Cut your losses, man, and move on.

And she missed the "I have to, suspend my campaign, run to the airport and get right back to Washington."

23. It's never the initial crime that gets you - it's always the cover-up!
If he'd told Letterman he had decided to blow him off to take e an interview with the news department, well, that would have been disconcerting but reasonable. It was lying about flying back to Washington that did McCain in!

Palin is the only one I would pay to see on Letterman.

26. Keeping fingers crossed
That he starts mocking Palin as hard as McCain after tomorrow night.

Letterman and Barry Sonnenfeld are starting to talk about the VP debate.

Sonnenfeld just wondered how an American can't vote for a Constitutional professor over someone that graduated almost last in their class, or some that attended 5 colleges.

32. I'm almost convinced that McCain canceling his Letterman appearance
Was the beginning of John's concession speech.

He's got to know it's over. Just look at his numbers since his media cancellations last week.

Can you imagine what would have happened if he didn't show up for the debate?
