Official says protesters getting into Garden with delegate credentials

By DONNA DE LA CRUZ, Associated Press

Last Updated: September 2, 2004, 05:27:00 PM PDT

NEW YORK (AP) - Protesters have used legitimate credentials, often obtained from delegates, to get into Madison Square Garden for the Republican National Convention, a law enforcement official said Thursday.

"A lot of delegates are just handing them out, and the event people are giving a bunch to different groups," said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity.

Credentials given to delegates were handled by the Republican National Committee. State delegations got guest passes.

Messages left with RNC officials were not immediately returned.

The law enforcement official said a few protesters entered the arena with guest passes obtained through media organizations. That includes a man brought in by a radio station to be interviewed because his son was killed in Iraq. The man was later seen protesting, the official said.

2. This sounds like a KKKarl ratfuck

What better way to show how disruptive and "out of the mainstream"
the protesters are than by letting them disrupt the President
while he is speaking. Plus, shrubya may have a "put down"
pre-canned line just waiting for the protest...

3. This is indicative of the way they have handled domestic security..
They talk about how safe and secure they have made everything but it is all a show.. These people haven't done shit at the ports.. They have done nothing for chemical and nuclear plants.. They are all smoke and mirrors..
